I first trained and worked as an actress and dancer, where the main focus of my working-life was physical theatre. After ten years in the profession I re-trained as a couple and young people’s counsellor. I loved counselling, but my body was starting to feel left out. It was at this point that I began practicing yoga. Training as a yoga teacher felt like an opportunity to integrate my previous fields of work.
I love flowing sequences and enjoy exploring the momentum and impulse behind movement. I am a believer in the healing potential of yoga on a physical and psychological level. I am passionate about exploring and incorporating elements of therapeutic work in my yoga practice.
Enabling people to have a positive relationship with themselves is my main goal as a teacher.
Favourite things: Yoga (obviously!), walking and spending time with my family. In winter sitting in front of the log burner with a good book (normally yoga related!)
Favourite posture: Pigeon pose and as such it is regularly found in my classes, that said I also love Camatkarasana (Wild Thing) and I love to balance, so, not sure. I just love it all!
