The class consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body-the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. A slow and deep practise it is great for people with injuries or those new to yoga. It facilitates the release of tension and blockages. It also reduces stress and encourages mindfulness.
