Amber Jolene

I teach Slow Hatha flow and Yin at Very Yoga on Wednesday evenings and alternate Sundays. My classes always include therapeutic sound, using instruments that help students settle, soften, and connect more deeply with their breath.

Yoga has been part of my life for over 25 years. I first came to it through dance when I was younger—the shapes drew me in, but the mindfulness and breathwork kept me there.

Like many people, I’ve had phases where my practice dipped, but yoga has always pulled me back. That steady presence eventually inspired me to complete my teacher training, and since qualifying in 2025, I’ve been teaching regularly.

My passion is helping people slow down and truly link movement with breath. I keep my classes accessible and grounding, with plenty of options so everyone feels they can achieve something meaningful. I’m not focused on handstands or dramatic balances; I’m interested in helping students find connection, presence, and their own inner strength. Functional postures are my favourite—especially malasana, which I include in every class because it supports everyday mobility and stability.

Yoga is my constant, and I know I’ll be practising for as long as my body allows. My intention is to guide others toward that same sense of steadiness, helping them reconnect with themselves, breath by breath.
